Recently I had the opportunity to purchase a small share in a racehorse that is trained in Ireland. The horse was purchased by Australian Bloodstock and syndicated in Australia to those daring to dream of having a horse in the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups.
I went ahead and purchased a very minor share with some mates and the dream is alive and well. The horse is called Mustajeer and is now favourite for both Cups after winning one of Europe’s richest handicaps two weeks ago – the Ebor Handicap in York.
The power of syndication gave me that opportunity and in property it will evolve into more joint ventures and multi ownership platforms the same as it has in horse racing.
